Who Is Annabeth? (And Why I Created Her)

If you have seen Annabeth in my planners or sticker packs, you might think she is simply a busy little mouse with a cozy life. She is that, but she is also much more.
I created Annabeth because I needed a visual reminder of the kind of woman I am becoming. Not perfect. Not polished. Not living in a silent cottage with sunlight streaming through lace curtains. Just rooted.
Annabeth lives by a simple truth: Order makes room for peace. Simple rhythms. Deeper peace. That does not mean her home is quiet. It means her heart can be steady, even when it is not.
Annabeth Does Not Promise a Calm House
Let me be very clear about this. Annabeth is not about creating a calm home. I have two boys who were adopted from foster care and had tough beginnings. There is noise. There is life. There is unpredictability. There are days that unravel.
Peace, in my world, is not silence. Peace is returning.
When the day falls apart, Annabeth does not spiral into shame. She does not rush harder. She does not punish herself with productivity. She re-centers.
Sometimes that is a breath prayer in the middle of noise. Sometimes it is five minutes in Scripture. Sometimes it is a small card with a verse and a short devotional. Sometimes it is stepping outside alone for a moment.
At the end of the day, it looks like this:
Review what got done.
Release what did not.
Reschedule thoughtfully.
Extend grace.
Grace sounds like this in my head: God is not disappointed. Tomorrow is a new day.
I have a sign above my bed that says, “Give it to God and go to sleep.” That is not decorative. That is theology.
If God can look at my mess and say, “You are okay. We are going to keep going,” then I can do the same for myself. That is the rhythm Annabeth models. Not perfection. Return.
Why the Cottage Aesthetic Matters

You will notice Annabeth’s world feels older, a grandmother’s tea kettle, a well-worn quilt, a thrifted bowl that has clearly been loved before, handwritten lists, and paper planners. That is not accidental.
There is something grounding about objects that have already lived a life. When I hold something that was made fifty or one hundred years ago, I am reminded that women before me worked hard, raised children, managed homes without convenience, lived through uncertainty, and stayed rooted in Christ anyway.
Their lives were not easy. In many ways, they were harder. But they were anchored in something absolute and true. That steadiness shaped how they raised their children, how they ran their homes, and how they faced the unknown.
Annabeth carries that spirit forward, not to romanticize the past, but to remember that faithfulness has always been practiced in ordinary days.
Why Planners and Stickers
Rhythms need reminders. Annabeth shows up in digital planners and sticker packs because everyday structure matters, but her planning philosophy is different.
She holds plans loosely. She adjusts without shame. She reviews daily, weekly, and monthly not to measure worth, but to realign with what matters.
Her reset system is simple:
Micro reset: breath prayer or Scripture.
Daily reset: review and grace.
Weekly reset: align with bigger goals.
Monthly reset: re-center direction.
Simple rhythms. Deeper peace. Not because life is quiet, but because she knows where to return when it is not.
Annabeth Is Growing
Right now, you see her most in digital planning, but she is part of something larger. She belongs in seasonal faith guides, in future children’s books, in surface pattern collections, on paper goods and stationery, and in stories about steady hearts inside loud homes.
Her message stays the same wherever she appears: Peace is not perfection. It is returning to God and beginning again.
If you are here because you feel overwhelmed, behind, or tired of feeling like you did not do enough, I want you to know something: God is not disappointed. Tomorrow is a new day. Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is give it to Him and go to sleep.
That is who Annabeth is. And that is why I created her.
